In 2017, Massimo Banzi, the inventor of Arduino, visited the Milieux Institute for Arts Culture and Technology to cristalize the relationship between graduate students and the open-source hardware community. Every year, Education Makers hold the International Arduino Day at #MilieuxMake at Concordia University in Montreal. The event is an opportunity to celebrate the open-source platform. It brings people from the community together to share their experiences and learn more about Arduino and open-source hardware.
Every year, there are more worldwide events to celebrate Arduino. In 2019, there were 659 events in 106 countries.
Mark your calendars: Arduino Day 2020 will be held on March 21!
